Faint Knowledge of Past
Chisel the mask you seek
Devil in the detail
Lucifer everywhere
Projection painted in colours
both conscious and subconscious
Strength in the Power of concentration
Training the mind
To control its own inversions.
Sight of the mask behind your eyes
It eventually grows its own
and stares at you
Is it what you sought?
Otherworldly creature
amalgamating with you, its creator
Eating the earth until everything is
direct and there is no interference
from your own skin
It shed the instant you locked gaze
with the mask of your making
Finally perception of the Grand Magus
dissolves your bones and the paste
is used to coat the inside of your mask.
It instills a scent you know but cannot place
The external observing state broken in the epiphany
that you are watching the mask being made
yet simultaneously absorbing every sensation
because you are it.
Realizing the smell is sweat leaves you perplexed
A fresh form already reeking?!
The strain of projection bound to itself
to your pleasure or horror
there is no separation left
as what you were before is forgotten
like water slipping through your fingers
but your hand still wet
Faint Knowledge of Past.
